Hillside's Character Pledge

In efforts to educate children on the importance of making appropriate decisions,  Hillside has implemented a character pledge that follows the Pledge of Allegiance and morning announcements.  The purpose of our character pledge is to create a common dialogue and consistent message that is delivered each day.  Research has shown that such efforts have had a positive impact on school communities.  Hillside's Character Pledge is as follows:

I am here to learn and grow.

Today, I promise to make good choices--both in class and at play.

I promise to do what is right and fair even when nobody else is there.

I will treat everyone with kindness and respect.

By doing this, I will help to make Hillside the best!
